2012 Abendmusik: Lincoln Midwinter Music Workshop

Gather with us on April 28th and 29th for our second annual Abendmusik: Lincoln Music Workshop with inspirational educational offerings for singers, conductors, and organists as well as a a Children's Choir Festival led by Fernando Malvar-Ruiz of the American Boychoir School, a performance of Benjamin Britten's monumental War Requiem, and a concert by the American Boychoir. 2012 Abendmusik: Lincoln Second Annual Children's Choir Festival

Children's choirs from the region are invited to gather in Lincoln on April 28th for the second annual Abendmusik Children's Choir Festival. We welcome special guest conductor Fernando Malvar-Ruiz, director of the internationally-renowned American Boychoir School in New Jersey, to guide our young singers. The children will learn four pieces with their home choirs in advance of our festival day, then the singers assemble on Festival Day to rehearse with Mr. Malvar-Ruiz, culminating in a midday concert. Children will also be invited to sing with the American Boychoir for their concert on Sunday, April 29 at 4:00 p.m. on the Abendmusik: Lincoln concert series.  For more details about the festival, clinician and registration information, please download the workshop brochure below.
