OLLI is joining with Abendmusik to enhance the experience of their annual community Summer Sing! This year featuring Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria!” On Wednesday, July 12, OLLI members will have an exclusive lesson with Pamela Starr, UNL professor of Music History. The lesson will include a history of Vivaldi and his “Gloria,” along with some musical analysis and followed by a rehearsal of sections of the Vivaldi piece. Then, on Wednesday, July 19, Pamela Starr and Tom Trenney, artistic director of Abendmusik and First- Plymouth Church’s minister of music, will share in a pre-Summer Sing reception with an exclusive question and answer period about the “Gloria,” Abendmusik and the Summer Sing.
